Network Collaborative-training for Europe and China (NCEC) sponsored by the European Union 1995-2001

A European Union sponsored project aimed at development of Internet-based system for distance learning. Two European universities and four Chinese universities/institutions participated in the project. The total grant is 490,000 Euro during 1999-2002.

Y2K project

Debugged and modified COGEN package, a year 2000 compliance conversion system, for EDS during 1996-1997 (in academic training). Mainly worked in COBOL code generation and web-based user interface.

Information System Engineering

RECENTLY PROPOSED PROJECTS:

 

1.       Initiated and organized a project, named WiBAR (Wireless Broadband Application Research based on Next generation Internet), aiming at European Union’s 6th Framework Program. The project involves 10 institutions in Europe and China.

2.       Proposed “The Research on Mobile IP terminal and access techniques based on broadband wireless network and the next generation Internet,” co-investigated with Professor Xinhua Jiang, Fujian University of Technology. The proposal has been granted by Fujian Provincial Government in May 2005.

3.       Proposed “The Research on Key Techniques of Integrate City Surveillance Information System based on Broadband Wireless Network and the Next Generation Internet,” co-investigated with Professor Xinhua Jiang, Fujian University of Technology. The proposal was submitted to Fujian Provincial Government in December 2004 and approved in May 2005.
