of Technology is located in the historic city of Fuzhou,
Fujian Province, along the southeast coast of China.
The University was founded in March 2002 by merging
Fujian Polytechnic College and Fujian College of
Architecture and Civil Engineering, which were once under
one roof of "Fujian Gaogong", a nationally
renowned school before the founding of PRC. "Fujian
Gaogong" originated from "Cangxia Jingshe"(Fujian
Cangxia Technical School, co-founded in 1896 by Lin
Shu, the eminent Fujian gentry and Chen Baochen, the tutor
for the last emperor of Qing Dynasty).
